SV	En Absalom had Amasa in Joabs plaats gesteld over het heir. Amasa nu was eens mans zoon, wiens naam was Jethra, de Israeliet, die ingegaan was tot Abigail, dochter van Nahas, zuster van Zeruja, Joabs moeder.
WLC	וְאֶת־עֲמָשָׂ֗א שָׂ֧ם אַבְשָׁלֹ֛ם תַּ֥חַת יֹואָ֖ב עַל־הַצָּבָ֑א וַעֲמָשָׂ֣א בֶן־אִ֗ישׁ וּשְׁמֹו֙ יִתְרָ֣א הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֔י אֲשֶׁר־בָּא֙ אֶל־אֲבִיגַ֣ל בַּת־נָחָ֔שׁ אֲחֹ֥ות צְרוּיָ֖ה אֵ֥ם יֹואָֽב׃
Trans.	wə’eṯ-‘ămāśā’ śām ’aḇəšālōm t^aḥaṯ ywō’āḇ ‘al-haṣṣāḇā’ w^a‘ămāśā’ ḇen-’îš ûšəmwō yiṯərā’ hayyiśərə’ēlî ’ăšer-bā’ ’el-’ăḇîḡal baṯ-nāḥāš ’ăḥwōṯ ṣərûyâ ’ēm ywō’āḇ:

AC	כה ואת עמשא שם אבשלם תחת יואב--על הצבא ועמשא בן איש ושמו יתרא הישראלי אשר בא אל אביגל בת נחש אחות צרויה אם יואב
ASV	And Absalom set Amasa over the host instead of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man, whose name was Ithra the Israelite, that went in to Abigal the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah, Joab's mother.
BE	And Absalom put Amasa at the head of the army in place of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man named Ithra the Ishmaelite, who had been the lover of Abigail, the daughter of Jesse, sister of Zeruiah, Joab's mother.
Darby	And Absalom set Amasa over the host instead of Joab; which Amasa was the son of a man whose name was Jithra the Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah, Joab's mother.
